Rolf
Just how talented is this man? He sure can paint, he knows what to do with a digeredoo,
helps kids to swim, heals sick animals and used to hang with the Beatles

Junction 22 M1
If you are travelling on the M1 there is a cornucopia of really nice country parks off Juntion 22 which I can really recommend for a picnic. Its seems odd that this part of Leicestershire should be so rugged but there you go.
Altar Stones (watch out for the longhorn cattle)
Hill Hole Quarry (Sadly I cannot find many links but it is totally awesome, check out the stunning views from the Toposcope, you can see all the way to the Rugby Aerials, 25 miles away
Billa Barra hill, lovely views is that Birmingham in the distance though?
Bardon hill Extraordinary place , you can see from Wales to Lincolnshire from this Marilyn
So stop off, its either this or being ripped off at Leicester Forest East services

Anti BNP
Is very hard to decribe in words how very very much I loath the BNP (an no I am not linking to them). There is a concert going on in Rotherham tonight to protest against them.
These guys are doing a good job exposing them.
As are these
And these guys as well
And if you think the BNP is a lovely cuddly organisation look up a website called Redwatch, again no link.

Revolution Church
These guys are well worth checking out, they are a church in the U.S run by Jay Bakker (If you can remember a scandal some time ago about some televangelists? Well Jay was part of that family). Go on..have a look..it may change your life

Emley Moor (Britains CN Tower)
If you live in Yorkshire you will be familiar with the Gigantic Emley Moor Transmitter. I went right up to it and I can attest personally how massive it is. It also gives the impression that it is going to fall on you at any moment. The only other building in the UK that I have seen that gives the same sense of hugeness is the Cardington Hangers in Bedfordshire.
PS I was up Emley Moor because apparently the area is riddled with old coal bell pits. There wern't any.

The DDR
Lets all celebrate being East German today! Honestly there is some pretty weird stuff in there, particularly the kids stories.
Other cultural icons that are no more
The Ampelmann ( the cute little green man that told East Berliners when to cross the road)
The Trabant
The Pioneers (I guarantee you will be humming the tune!)
And Poly Play (totally safe for work)

Brussels Metro
This station is just plain weird, it looks like something out of a horror movie. I think it has something to do with the Belgian Royal family

Back thru time
Continuing the back thru time theme, I bet you cannot guess who was the first person to use a cash machine in the UK?
And lets have some jolly photo's of some pumpkins
And while we are here, find out about your next bus (if you live in Toronto)
